2007 World Championships in Athletics: The American runner Tyson Gay goes home with 3 gold medals an- in 100m sprint, 200m and in 4×100m relay- and becomes the king of the track that year

The Full Story

 

The 2007 World Championships in Athletics saw the coronation of Tyson Gay as the king of track and field sprints. On Aug 26 Gay won the gold in 100m sprint setting a time of 9.85 sec. few mili sec. shy from 9.77 sec –  the world record that was set in sep 2007 by the Jamaican runner Asafa Powell (who finished second in the Aug 26 run).
