The Full Story

04/29/1970- 1970 NBA finals game 3: The Knicks were up by 2, but the Lakers had the ball and 4 sec. to do something with it, Wilt Chamberlain passes to Jerry West, 2 sec. 1.. and west goes for “we got nothing to lose” shot from 60 foot and makes it! L.A fans went nuts, as the game went into overtime (there was no 3 points rule back then in the NBA).

West amazing field goal was enough to tie the game and give the Lakers another chance, but they didn’t manage to take it and the Knicks won the game 108-111.

The Lakers did succeed to win game 4 and game 6, but that also wasn’t enough and the New York Knicks won the series 4-3.

Yes children, it would seem that there was actually a time and place in history, where the Knicks won games and titles, but we will probably won’t see them do it again any time soon, But hey New York you can keep the faith, losers.
